That with respect to Notice of Motion EC2026-0352, the following be adopted: BE IT RESOLVED that Council direct Administration to: 1. Conduct a scan of existing City and community supports for community-based groups and a jurisdictional scan of municipal funding models focused on these types of groups (Phase 1); 2. Undertake targeted engagement with community-based groups and established community funders to identify barriers, coordination opportunities, and partnership or peer learning models (Phase 1); 3. Explore and develop options to mitigate identified barriers for community-based groups in accessing City funding (Phase 1); 4. Report back to the Community Development Committee no later than September 2026 with Phase 1 findings, and options for implementation of a funding approach for community-based groups for consideration within the 20272030 budget cycle (Phase 2).
