That with respect to Notice of Motion EC2026-0687, the following amendment be adopted: That Notice of Motion EC2026-0687 be amended by deleting the BE IT RESOLVED clause in its entirety and replacing it with the following: "BE IT RESOLVED that Council direct that, at all Meetings of Council and Meetings of Committees of Council held in the Council Chamber: (a) seating at the Council horseshoe be limited to Members of Council and, in the case of a Committee meeting, any other appointed voting members of that Committee; (b) the Chief Administrative Officer and all other members of City Administration be seated at the Administration tables, with the Chief Administrative Officer positioned centrally at those tables; (c) the City Clerk and the Clerk's staff may be seated at the Clerk's table for the purpose of recording the proceedings and providing procedural support to the presiding officer; and (d) where the Mayor or other presiding officer vacates the chair, the Member of Council then serving as Deputy Mayor, or the Member otherwise assuming the chair, occupy the presiding officer's position for the duration; and further BE IT RESOLVED that Council direct the City Clerk to implement the foregoing including nameplates, microphone and voting-station assignments, and the Chamber seating record effective with the first Meeting of Council held on or after 2026 September 01, and to advise Council by memorandum once complete."
