That with respect to Notice of Motion EC2026-0042, the following be adopted, as amended: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Administration be directed to prepare the necessary amendments to Calgary Transit fare policy and any associated bylaws to extend the transfer validity period from 90 minutes to 120 minutes; AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the proposed amendments to the fare policy include consideration of: Required changes to validation systems and enforcement practices; Communications and public education to ensure riders are informed of the revised transfer period; and Any transitional measures required to support effective implementation; AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that Administration report back no later than 2026 April 28th with: An assessment of financial and ridership impacts associated with the extended transfer period; and Confirmation of implementation readiness and timing; AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that Administration be directed to bring forward the amended fare policy and any required bylaw amendments directly to the 2026 April 28th Regular Meeting of Council for consideration.
