That with respect to Confidential Verbal Report C2026-0930, the following be adopted, as amended: That Council: 1. Receive the confidential cover report, distribution 1 and confidential distributions 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 for information and discussion; 2. Direct that the confidential cover report and confidential distribution 7 remain confidential pursuant to Section 29 (Advice from officials) of the Access to Information Act, to be reviewed no later than December 31, 2026; 3. Direct that, notwithstanding Councils direction to keep Closed Meeting discussions, the confidential cover report and confidential distributions 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 confidential, Closed Meeting discussions, the confidential cover report and confidential distributions 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 be released to Business Planning Finance and further shared with Administration and the Calgary Police Service only where required to support next steps in the budget process; and 4. Direct that, notwithstanding Councils direction to keep Closed Meeting discussions, the confidential cover report and confidential distributions 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 confidential, Closed Meeting discussions, the confidential cover report and confidential distributions 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 be released to staff of the Councillors and the Office of the Mayor for the purpose of providing advice and research to Members, subject to the same confidentiality obligations as Members.
