That with respect to Notice of Motion EC2024-0546, the following be adopted: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: Council forward the accompanying resolution to the Village of Duchess and request that they second it; and The accompanying resolution is submitted for inclusion at the September annual Alberta Municipalities conference to request: Alberta Municipalities advocate for the Government of Alberta to make changes to the Alberta Traffic Safety Act to improve safety within designated school zones and playground zones through measures such as double fines for speeding offenses or adjusting demerits to encourage improved compliance.
