That Alderman P. Demong's Motion, NM2011-30, after amendment, as follows, be referred to the 2011 October 06 Regular Meeting of the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee for more detailed discussions and to return to the 2011 November 07 Combined Meeting of Council: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that The City of Calgary, through Mayor, Council and the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee work with the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association and Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties (AAMDC) as an option for reforming the financing of municipal government toward garnering at least 10% of oil sands royalties from the Provincial government for distribution to Alberta municipalities.
