That Aldermen Hodges and Keating's motion NM2010-46, be adopted, as amended, as follows: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that The City Of Calgary shall use either the title of “Councillor” or “City Councillor”, given the wording of the Alberta Municipal Government Act (sec 155), to designate its elected officials, save for the chief elected official for whom the title of “Mayor” shall continue to apply; AND FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Law Department prepare an amending Bylaw as soon as possible to Bylaw Number 29M95 as soon as possible and all other City Bylaws, Policies and Official Documents be amended as appropriate to reflect the use of the title “Councillor” or, alternatively, “City Councillor” to take effect October 21, 2013.
