Resolution
That with respect Report C2019-1052, the following Motion Arising be approved, as amended: That Council Direct Administration to: 1. Perform a review of Family and Community Support Services, and Calgary Neighbourhoods’ role in delivering Family and Community Support Services programs, that: a. Is focused on eliminating duplication, increasing the efficient delivery of services, clarifying roles, and recommendations for sustainable funding for Family and Community Support Services. b. Takes a cross-sector collaborative approach by engaging members of the Family and Community Support Services Calgary Forum under their advisory capacity to provide input and feedback and their advocacy capacity to address policy and financial issues at a local and provincial level, and further, with the Government of Alberta, community partners, social agencies, and philanthropic funders. c. Is aligned with any potential review being undertaken by the Government of Alberta on the Family and Community Support Services program provincially. 2. Report back to Council in conjunction with the annual Family and Community Support Services funding recommendations in 2021.
